Frequently asked questions
- Will this be accepted?
- The crop matches the published size and head-height rules for each document. Acceptance also depends on the photo itself: a plain light background, even lighting, a neutral expression, eyes open, no hat, and no shadows. Always check your government’s current requirements before you submit.
- How do I print it?
- Download the 4x6 inch sheet and take it to any pharmacy, supermarket, or photo kiosk that prints 4x6 photos (usually well under a dollar). Cut along the guide lines. Do not let the printer “fit to page” or scale it, or the size will be wrong.
- Can it remove or whiten the background?
- No — and we would rather say so than fake it. Take the photo against a plain white or light grey wall in even, indirect light. A poorly cut-out background is a common reason photos get rejected.
- Is my photo uploaded?
- No. The cropping and the print sheet are made in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device — which matters, because this is an identity document.
