How to Convert SVG to PNG (at Any Size)

June 29, 2026 · 4 min read

SVG is the web’s favorite format for logos and icons because it scales to any size without ever blurring. But plenty of apps — slide decks, some editors, online marketplaces — won’t accept it. Converting to PNG fixes that while keeping the result crisp.

Why convert SVG to PNG?

To use a logo somewhere SVG isn’t supported, to get a fixed-size raster image for a thumbnail or avatar, or simply to share an image that opens everywhere.

How to convert SVG to PNG

  1. 1Open the SVG to PNG tool.
  2. 2Load your SVG file.
  3. 3Choose the pixel width you want.
  4. 4Download a sharp PNG (or JPG).

Pick the right export size

Because SVG is infinitely scalable, you choose the output resolution. Export at the largest size you’ll realistically need — you can always scale a PNG down later, but enlarging it afterwards loses sharpness.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PNG keep transparency?
Yes — PNG supports transparent backgrounds, so a logo on “nothing” stays that way.
What size should I export?
Match or exceed where you’ll use it — for a logo, 1024px wide or more is a safe choice.
Is my file uploaded?
No — the conversion runs in your browser.
